FROM LITERACY TO DIGITAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL TRAINING

  • Despite the fact that the education of adults is in many cases conceived as a basic education focused mostly on social and personal fulfillment, adults have a great potential for employability if they receive an adequate training matching the needs of companies. This is especially true for adults between the ages of 18 and 30 who neither study nor work.
  • In the new production models generated in recent years, the innovation and technology sector stands out in a striking way, since it became in 2018 one of the sectors with the greatest capabilities for growth and hiring.
  • This sector has a wide variability of jobs with very diverse profiles (from researchers to staff without degrees) and it can be a great opportunity for our beneficiary group, not only for the real possibilities of employability, but also for offering a striking and motivating objective for these adults. But in order to access these jobs, it is essential that they develop some specific skills.
  • FROM LITERACY TO DIGITAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL TRAINING is a project aimed at structuring the learning of these adults through a complete itinerary adapted to employability in the technology sector, from the most basic stages of adult training to the basic knowledge required by technology companies through the development of digital and technological skills, such as scientific thinking, critical analysis, and digital skills.

Intellectual Outputs of the Project

  1. The project has developed the creation of an ambitious Intellectual Output (O1), which we have called STRUCTURED AND PERSONALIZED COURSE FOR THE DIGITAL TRAINING OF ADULT PERSONS: FROM LITERACY TO DIGITAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL TRAINING.
  2. Developed in three levels of specification, this course aims, through virtual and personalized learning, to accompany young adults from their basic training to their training to obtain a job in the technology sector.
  3. This intellectual result is highly innovative thanks to the methodology that follows, in addition to its contents. Among other aspects, it is worth highlighting its innovation due to its own conception, since a structured course aimed at adults between 18 and 30 that not only aims at their academic training or the improvement of their basic knowledge, but also aims to significantly promote their employability, their inclusion, and their motivation to be active / or through their participation in a technological and innovation field.
  4. In addition, the course planning is absolutely innovative, since far from being static courses of defined didactic programming, it generates itineraries adapted to the previous knowledge and abilities of each student, adapting the contents to their real needs. This allows adults with different knowledge to access it, who through the course are trained for certain functions in the field of research, and develop their skills to new levels. This is a construction of a training itinerary that goes from their basic literacy to their technological and digital training, guiding them from the initial steps to those that will lead directly to their goal: their employability.
